This guide rail made of anodised aluminium D52 is equipped with one or more BP53 roller runners. The rollers, permanently lubricated and sealed, are made of stainless steel coated with polyamide to ensure a smooth and particularly silent movement.

This linear guide rail made of anodised aluminium D52 with its plastic-coated roller runner BP53 consists of an anodised aluminium rail and one or more runners. The number of runners is limited only by the length of the rail, it is generally 1 to 3 per rail. The usual applications, requiring a very quiet and compact guide, are sliding doors, medium sized protective covers housings or up and down type guides.

The rail is a clear anodized aluminum profile. It is equipped with a stainless steel pin at each end covered with a polyurethane stop. Standard lengths range from 300 mm to 2 metres in 50 or 100 mm increments. We keep in stock rails in lengths of 500, 1000, 1500, 2000 mm. The other lengths are manufactured. The rails are delivered undrilled. We can manufacture them according to your drilling plans.

The BP53 carrier, 138 mm long, is mounted with 3 plastic-coated stainless steel rollers to be quieter. The central roller is assembled on an eccentric screw to allow adjustment of the clearance and sliding force. A mark on the body of the runner indicates the correct orientation of the rollers relative to the load. They are lubricated for life and are waterproof (IP54). It is delivered with 2 threaded holes to fix the mobile part of the system. At each end, it is equipped with a scraper to repel coarse impurities.

The mounting direction is with the roller on eccentric at the top. The permissible load is determined according to the number of runners. Each runner can support:

  • 75 kg on the major axis,
  • 40 kg on the minor axis.

It is suitable for applications requiring heavy load guidance.
The operating temperature range is from -20°C to +80°C continuously.

This type of product can withstand torque loads; however, be sure to balance the load as well as possible under one or more runner. Refer to the data sheet for more information.

Options of the anodized aluminium guide rail D52 for heavy loads:

  • Rail of specific lengths and or holes according to plan,
  • Steel version with stainless steel rollers: E53-BS53 ,
  • Steel version with recirculating ball bearing pads: E53-G53 ,
  • All stainless steel version with recirculating ball bearing pads: ST53-GS53 .

Description

This linear rail is supplied in aluminium. The length is adaptable to the needs of the user. The rail length is adjusted to demand up to 2500mm (limit due to transportation requirements). Standard rail lengths are 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 mm. Other lengths are possible.[CR]] The standard rails are delivered undrilled, but they can be produced according to a specific hole pattern. The recommended drilling pattern is shown on the technical data sheet.[CR]] Each Rail is provided with two end-stop crosspins. These reduce the possible movement by 11mm at each end.

Runner BP53 has 3 steel plastic coated rollers mounted on a stainless steel plate. Runner BS53 has 3 stainless steel rollers mounted on a stainless steel plate. The central roller is eccentrically adjustable on its axel. A mark on the body of the runner indicates the correct orientation of the rollers relative to the load. The coated rollers provide a particularly silent movement. They are lubricated for life and are waterproof (IP54). Its overall length is 138mm and it includes 2 M6 threaded holes at 100mm centres. Each runner is fitted with plastic wipers at each end that clear the raceway as it moves ensuring a smooth motion. Each runner could be mounted in either the aluminium rail (D52), zinc plated steel (E53) or stainless steel (ST53) according to the environmental requirements of each application.

Each runner has a load capacity. Increasing the number of runners increases the load capacity by the same factor.

Applications

This linear rail is designed for medium loads in applications requiring a very small footprint, such as covers or enclosures for guard of small machine.

Recommended operating temperatures from -20 to 100°C.

Installing these guides in applications with severe vibrations is not recommended: indentation of profiles by ball bearings might occure. Do not hesitate to contact us.

This kind of product will not slide well under torque; please ensure that the load is balanced on one or more runners, if necessary.

This product can be used as a sliding pair, guide bar or rod, suspended rail, handling rail, sliding doors horizontal slider or vertical guide.

Manufacture

Chambrelans production of this guide rail is based on the use of extruded aluminum profiles.

Anti-corrosion standard coating for the rail is soft anodisation.

The rail has axial pins covered with rubber at each end.

Adjusting the runners. Runners are delivered as fully assembled items, mounted with pre-set running properties. If a runner is delivered separately, or if it should be mounted in another rail, or if you have non-standard operating requirements, an adjustment can be made; Note that a good adjustment affects the lifetime of the assembly. - After checking the cleanliness of the raceways, introduce the runner without the scrapers into the rail, - Loosen the set screw of the central roller which is eccentrically mounted. - With the rail on the major axis, rotate the provided key to obtain the desired setting, and then tighten the mounting screw to the recommended torque on the data sheet, - Check the sliding of the runner into the rail; It must be moved freely without excessive play, - Replace the wipers.

Greasings

  • Standard slides are delivered slightly greased. We use a high pressure bearing grease for steel slides and a white grease for aluminum and stainless slides. Upon request, we can use food grease (compatible clean room) a high temperature grease a teflon free grease (for spray booths...) grease free mounting (although we do not advise this option)

It has no lock option so far.

Surface treatment

This slide can be supplied with a hard anodization coating, which offers, in addition to corrosion resistance, an increased resistance to hammering of ball bearings. This option can be usefull in the case of applications subject to vibrations.

  • We do not recommend using this product outside the standard temperature range.
Vertical mounting

This slide can be mounted vertically (guillotine).
